My family comes from Jesse Rankin,Madison Rankin, John William Rankin and my dad Milton Terrell (Red) Rankin. I see in the 1880 Census that Ths. Mddugan and Elizrah Mcdigan were in Madison, Tenn. The grand kids with them I was wondering if they were my grandfather John William Rankin, his brother James Rankin, and sister Cynthia Rankin even though it has their name as Keirsey, which was my great grand mother's name. Just a note of hello from your past (Aviation Cadets 1957-8). I'm still kicking. Left USAF in 1977 in Wash DC. Eventually came to San Diego (worked here 1966-72). Semi retired again after 29 years selling real estate.
How are you doing? Did you get into automobile design? I remember that was one of your dreams.

Hi! I came upon your site as I was researching Rhoda Boyer (1828 TN). You have her listed as married to John Morgan with issue Lewis & George. In 1860 census for Hartville MO (apparently after John Morgan died) has "Lewis" listed as "Lace" (Lacie? Lacey?) with George and another child "Amanda M." 8 yrs. Also shows my great grandmother's 1/2 sister Harriet E. ("Emmeline"
Ro(d)gers. Great grandmother was Nancy Ann Ro(d)gers the daughter (and I believe only child) of Rhoda Boyer and George S. Ro(d)gers <---who is shown living next door to Rhoda in that same census with wife "Jane" and children. This branch of "Ro(d)gers/Morgan/Boyer" families drives me up a wall because: 1) What was Harriet Ro(d)gers doing living with Rhoda supposedly BEFORE Rhoda was married to Geo. Rodgers??? (When he was still living with his wife "Jane" surname unk.) The Boyers are easy to follow -- Rhoda's parents (Lewis & Rebecca Boyer) are living right next door in that census and are buried in Little Creek Cemetery along with all my Wood family (Nancy Ann Ro(d)gers married Joseph Lane Wood, son of Wm. Wood, Presiding Judge of Wright Cty. Mo thru the Civil War). But these Ro(d)gers wanna make me tear my hair out! Anyhoo, thanks for the info on John Morgan.

ID# I103429 (Abbie Jane Hall) is my grandmother! I'd love to find out what you've found on her lineage...I am under the impression from my family that her mother was in fact Flora Elizabeth Mears.
